Louise has been a resident of Gillette since 1975 and became a business owner In 1978 and has owned Powder River Office Supply ever since. Louise is married to her husband Steven, and has two children; Casey Painter-Sams, and Alex King and one grandson, Carter Sams. Louise has been a City Councilwoman since 1991 and takes pride in her community. She is a supporter of many organizations including, Habitat for Humanity, Gillette Community College, United Way, Yes House, and many more. Louise was elected as Mayor of Gillette in November 2014.
