Thirteen things you must do when you hire your first employee will be part of the discussion when the Powder River Basin Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management speaks at the March 13 Lunch & Learn sponsored by the Energy Capital Enterprise Center.
The presentation is aimed at entrepreneurs and other small businesses that have no Human Resource department to guide them through the issues that arise when the owners are the only employees and when the owners start hiring others.
The Lunch & Learn is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Enterprise Center, 345 Sinclair St. in Gillette. Cost is $10, which includes a light lunch. Those interested in attending should RSVP by March 8 by emailing mary@EnergyCapitalED.com or calling 686-2603.
Lunch & Learns are open to all entrepreneurs, small business owners and those considering starting a business. The sessions allow attendees to learn critical business skills, find out about resources available to them and network with other entrepreneurs so they can share ideas, expertise, insights and partnerships.
