Janell Oberlander is the President of Gillette College and has spent nearly three decades as a higher education professional. She is passionate about creating opportunities and empowering those she works with. Janell believes that education changes lives and communities and works with outstanding professionals who share her vision.
During her career, Janell has served on various college leadership teams, has held community board positions and has participated on numerous local, state and regional professional boards. She is skilled at negotiating partnerships with local elected officials and community partners in an effort to enhance the learning environment.
Janell holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Montana Tech and a Master’s Degree from Idaho State University. She is currently in her doctoral program at the University of Colorado – Denver with an anticipated completion date of Spring 2022.
Janell is a 1987 graduate of Campbell County High School and is thrilled to be back in her hometown, where her leadership journey began.
